A simple to use, cheap to run web storefront for selling quirky and cool greeting cards built on Drupal.

The Client

Their Challenge

The client needed an eCommerce website for selling its quirky and funny greeting cards to consumers in the U.S. The goal: a site as easy for the shop owner to add, update, or delete cards from inventory as it is for a customer to browse for product by category or line. Keeping ongoing costs low was a high priority for the client.

Our Solution

Ideograph designed and built a website on top of the Drupal open-source content management system. An existing theme was modified to make it more upbeat and quirky, to match the type of cards sold, and 1950's clip-art used as graphical flair. Routine maintenance tasks such as changing text, uploading new card art, or changing prices is done by the client through a simple web interface.

To keep costs low, the site runs on a third-party hosting provider charging only a few dollars a month, and PayPal was chosen as a very low-cost, simple-to-administer payment engine.
